Aragon test

Hello readers

Firstly sorry for the late post. We went to test in Aragon in beginning of March. We got a street Honda CBR 600 from PZ Motorsport. Thanks for that. We planned to do 4 training days but sadly we can only go one full day. First day it was really really cold and wet and even snow in our hotel. The track started to dry and I could go last two practises. I learned the track and the bike as it was my first time in Aragon and second time on this bike. I got to know where the track turns and it was good enough for the day. Second day morning it was again cold but I went anyway. We had six trainings on the day and I improved my lap times and feeling on the bike went better and better through the day. I could feel the weight difference between racing bikes and my bike on brakings but it was no problem. My best time came on the last lap on the last training when my tires had driven approximately 300km. The day was very good. For the third day we put new tires. It was again really cold in the morning so we skipped first three practises. Then when I went I wanted to start momently and was too agressive on the throttle so I crashed and broke my left wrist. It was damn stupid mistake by me and I can't understand how I did it but I can not change that now. We couldn't ride the third and fourth day of the test. Sorry for the team. The test didn't end well but at least I learnt the track and got my speed back after the winter break. That's good. Now I wait for the Alcarras training with European Junior Cup and then momently Aragon race. Cya.

2K13 - Here I come

Hi guys

Now its February and we have our plans fixed what we will do next year. We will drive European Junior Cup where they use identical Honda CBR 500 2013 and there is 34 fast drivers from around the world. I was picked from many applycants. The serie looks very difficult and when you win the championship you get place in European Superstock 600 team and can drive with Honda. I am really excited for this chance and take everything I can from the year. I think I drive Estonian championship also but it is not sure. I would really like though. When there is any new news I'll let you know.

Calendar 2013:

7 Apr 2013-Alcarras, Spain - Training Camp
14 Apr 2013-Aragon, Spain
28 Apr 2013-Assen, Netherlands
12 May 2013-Monza, Italy

Hockenheim

Hi readers

Hockenheim race was actually pretty good. We had again one test before race and there we found mistake why it was too hard for me to be fast on Sachsenring. There were some problems with exhaust. We had good two days of testing and we could get quite good speed. There was Aris also so it was good to practise together. On race weekend the first training was momently good. I felt perfect which was I think very important to be fast. I drove time for second place. We were very pleased with the result because time was also pretty good. Saturday morning first qualifying was wet from night so it was quite sure that it was going to dry and there was no idea to go crazy. We thought that most important was to stay on bike and drive with pleasure. Some guys crashed on first laps. I was in top ten in the end and it was okay because sun was shining and track was drying. To second qualifying track was completely dry and we could go full gas. I started momently alone and from first lap I tried to go as fast as possible. I didn't see any fast guys on the track so I got no help from slip-stream. In the end it looked like it was a good idea because I was fastest and so I started from pole position. To race it was hard to go because from pole position everybody expect you to win and the stress is pretty big. The start was not the best but I fixed it in the first corner. I stayed in the first group and had great fight. I felt comfortable with the pace. I felt like I could go faster and tried to escape the group. I think I had a second or two gap when I tried to push too hard and crashed in one slow corner. It was completely my mistake and there is nobody else to blame. No contact no anything. I was lucky that the bike was okay after crash and I could go forward with race. Only the gear lever was broken and the handlebar was loose. I finished the race in eight place. Finally it was good weekend because we had all the possibilitys to win but I tried too hard. At least we know that we are able to win. Sad that it was the final and there were no more races coming. Now it's the end of the season and we try to get our plans clear what we do next year. Many thanks to my father, Jean Stecher and my team PZ Motorsport this year who helped me a lot and without them the year would have been impossible. See you next year.

Sachsenring IDM

So Sachsenring

We went again to be fast and win but sadly the race didn't go as we planned. Before the race-weekend we had one test on Sachsenring and then we didn't get any speed. We didn't find the problem and thought that it will be better on friday with other drivers. On friday it wasn't any different. The times were same as in test and place was 10-something. This didn't satisfy me and team so we started to search maybe there's anything with bike. We changed exhaust and did many dynotests but finally only found +1hp with what we still didn't have the perfect power. We didn't know anything else to do and hoped that it was better. On saturday practises the bike was very little better but still I wasn't able to be competitive. In qualifying I was again around 10th place. The race start was okay. I didn't lose places but I didn't win any either. In first laps I undestood that it's very very hard to go with first group but I still tried. I tried too hard and I started to make mistakes. I stayed with the same group around ten. The group was full of normally fast riders and the race was intense. Many manouvers and much action. I won some time in corners but I lost it again on straights. I had to do much work on corners. In last laps I tried to do my best to finish in front of the group and to get as many points as possible. Finally there was some action in last corner. Somebody crashed and yellow flags so I couldn't finish my move what I had planned for last corner so I finished in second from the group. It wasn't the weekend we wanted it to be but thanks to my team PZ Motorsport who worked very hard friday evening to get bike to best condition. Maybe we can find the mistake to Hockenheim.

Schleiz

Hello

In Schleiz we couldn't really get the speed in any of the trainings. In second qualifying I got one fast lap behind some other fast rider and got the front row starting position. It was okay but still it wasn't perfect because I knew I couldn't hold the speed for long time. Start was not so good and momently after first and second corner I was sixth or seventh. I couldn't get all the speed going downhill so many guys can pass me. I could pass them but I couldn't get away enough far to start catching the front group. The action was nice in the group and many passings were made but still I would have wanted to be in front. One lap in the slow left corner I stayed outside before corner so I can maybe pass when going out but Gebhardt just crashed there and was laying there and I couldn't see him. I crashed to Daniel and then the race was red-flagged. I didn't get hurt. It was not very good weekend. We didn't get speed and didn't finish the race either so yeah not the best weekend.

Sachsenring GP

Sachsenring... We went to Sachsenring with big expectations because it was like my home track and my team is from there. The first qualifying was not so good because it was half wet and i didn't find my speed. I was in seventh place and huge gap to front. To second practice it started to rain, so i couldn't do a better time but i felt much better on the bike. I started from the seventh place and had a great start. In first corner i was third and from first lap i came first. From the first corner i felt perfect on the bike. I could stay with front guys and after some laps i went away with Aris and Michi. We had great fight where every guy had some place on track where he was faster and can overtake so many maneuvers also. In the lap before last they both braked to inside my after finish line and Michi braked a little too late and touched a little bit Aris' rear wheel. I stayed a little bit outside for safety and lost some time there but i could catch them again and i passed them both after the fast right corner going down but in Sachsencorner i made a mistake and they passed me both again. I couldn't go so good out from last corner to overtake them so i was third. Anyway it was perfect and a perfect place to be in podium. So, everything was perfect in that weekend. Loved it. Now a little brake and then Schleiz.

Red Bull Ring

Hi again. Red Bull Ring was not so good for me. In first training as well as both qualifyings i couldn't find my speed and we didn't know where i lose it. So i started from the third row. In the evening we could understand what was wrong and in the race from the first lap i could go much faster. I had a good start and first corner i went completely outside and little bit over the asfalt outside the track. I could stay with the second group which was places 5-11. Again, it was a group with a heavy fight and great passings. Two laps before the end, Tietze pass me in the corner before last and crashed in front of me. There was not much place so i had to go over the grass and lost some seconds. I catched the group again and passed Stange but nothing more. It wasn't the best weekend for us but maybe in Sachsenring.
