Sachsenring GP

Sachsenring... We went to Sachsenring with big expectations because it was like my home track and my team is from there. The first qualifying was not so good because it was half wet and i didn't find my speed. I was in seventh place and huge gap to front. To second practice it started to rain, so i couldn't do a better time but i felt much better on the bike. I started from the seventh place and had a great start. In first corner i was third and from first lap i came first. From the first corner i felt perfect on the bike. I could stay with front guys and after some laps i went away with Aris and Michi. We had great fight where every guy had some place on track where he was faster and can overtake so many maneuvers also. In the lap before last they both braked to inside my after finish line and Michi braked a little too late and touched a little bit Aris' rear wheel. I stayed a little bit outside for safety and lost some time there but i could catch them again and i passed them both after the fast right corner going down but in Sachsencorner i made a mistake and they passed me both again. I couldn't go so good out from last corner to overtake them so i was third. Anyway it was perfect and a perfect place to be in podium. So, everything was perfect in that weekend. Loved it. Now a little brake and then Schleiz.

Red Bull Ring

 Hi again. Red Bull Ring was not so good for me. In first training as well as both qualifyings i couldn't find my speed and we didn't know where i lose it. So i started from the third row. In the evening we could understand what was wrong and in the race from the first lap i could go much faster. I had a good start and first corner i went completely outside and little bit over the asfalt outside the track. I could stay with the second group which was places 5-11. Again, it was a group with a heavy fight and great passings. Two laps before the end, Tietze pass me in the corner before last and crashed in front of me. There was not much place so i had to go over the grass and lost some seconds. I catched the group again and passed Stange but nothing more. It wasn't the best weekend for us but maybe in Sachsenring.

Nürburgring

So Nürburgring. First practice was good for me and i was the fastest. I felt really good on the track and bike and i think there comes the speed. First qualifying was wet and i was fifth i think. There we had some problems with bike and i also crashed in the end. In the second qualifying it was not my favourite conditions. It was wet with some dry places and i didn't find the right places to go fast so i had to start from ninth, third row. The start was great and in first lap i was fourth. The first two guys got away but we got really nice group which fought for third and there was all the time passings and heavy fight. In some laps Rofner crashed. Then it was long time fight again and Rentzsch crashed. From then it was me, Stange and Geitner. In last lap i went to pass Stange and we both crashed. I am really sorry but this is racing. In the end i was eighth. Finally it was a good weekend. We fought for podium and there was big possibility to get it but sometimes things like this crash happens. Now looking forward to RedBull Ring.

Oschersleben

Oschersleben was quite good, but i was so close to podium. In friday practice i felt really good with the bike but the times were not so good. In first qualifying were very difficult weather conditions, it was wet but the line was dry. Every lap the line went wider and wider so every lap times got better and better. In the end some 8 minutes before finish i went wide and to a wet place. It was slippery and i fell. Nothing happened but i  lost much time and i hadn't enaugh time to get some more fast laps so many guys drove faster times and i was eighth. It was in second row and this was important. Second qualifying was full wet so it was only for testing in case sunday would have been wet. Luckily it wasn't wet. It was exactly like first QP, maybe more dry. My start was good and first laps i could stay with front guys but then they got away a little bit. The group i was in was in a great fight and some passings were very tough. At some point i was alone because the group got away a little bit but then i could catch them. In last lap i was able to pass Rofner in the corner before last but there were yellow flags so i had to slow down and so my last corner were also not so good and Gerstacker could pass me in the finish line. I was disappointed because third place was so close but maybe next time in Nürburgring.

Lausitzring

Hi all. It's my first post in this new blog and it's about Lausitzring. First training in friday was all about learning the track. I was suprised that it was so bumpy. In QP1 we had new tires. Almost half of the practice, i spend to feel comfortable on the bike and in the end there were many slower riders in front of me and i felt like i was able to go faster. In the second QP i had one good lap and by this lap i was seventh. All the practice i was alone and i think it would have been better with some faster guys. Anyways we were happy because i had my first second row start. Sunday at race i had quite good start but the first corner for me was not so good. I lost a few places and for some laps i stayed with group and had some gap to first group. After some laps i could get free from group and I and Thurmayer started to catch Rofner. It was well done from Thurmayer that he didn't start to pass me from slipstream because we would have lost many time and maybe couldn't catch Rofner. In the end it was great fight with Rofner and Thurmayer with many great maneuvers. On the last lap they both pass me and it was not sure for me how it was going to end. Unfortunately Thurmayer crash in the last lap and from there Rofner got better away. Of course i was happy with the fifth place but always you feel that you could do better. It was a nice race, but i feel sorry for Aris. He did a great race and then got disqualified for so simple thing. I think thats all about Lausitzring and now we are looking forward to Oschersleben.
